Dr. Yoke Tan

Dr. Tan is one of the founding members of Tan and Garcia Pediatrics and has been a practicing pediatrician for nearly 40 years.  He attended medical school at the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  He then completed his residency in Pediatrics at New York Medical College and a medical fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Canada's Montreal Children's Hospital, affiliated with McGill University.  He is board certified in both the U.S. and Canada.  Dr. and Mrs. Tan have two married daughters and four grandchildren.  When he isn't working, Dr. Tan tries to spend as much time as possible with his grand kids.  In his free time, he enjoys traveling and eating well.  He also enjoys tennis and World Cup soccer.

Dr. Guillermo Garcia (retired)

Dr. Garcia began practicing Pediatrics in 1974.  He did his undergraduate studies at La Salle University in Mexico City and subsequently graduated from the National University of Mexico as a Physician Surgeon.  He did a Rotating Internship at the Moncton General Hospital in New Brunswick Canada. Afterwards he fulfilled his Social Service year as a General Practitioner in rural Mexico.  He completed his Pediatric training at the Harrisburg Hospital and Strong Memorial Hospital at the University of Rochester and joined Procopio Pediatrics, which would later become Tan and Garcia Pediatrics.  He enjoys tennis, golf and learning to play music and foreign languages.  Dr. Garcia retired in the summer of 2017 and we wish him all the best on his future endeavors.

Dr. Falguni Acharya

Dr. Acharya has been practicing pediatrics with Tan and Garcia Pediatrics since 2006.  She completed her pediatric residency at the Medical Center of Central Georgia, Mercer University School of Medicine, in Macon, Georgia.   Her areas of interest within pediatrics are Developmental Pediatrics, autism support, newborn care and breastfeeding support.  Dr. Acharya is originally from South Florida and now lives in Mechanicsburg with her husband and twin daughters.  Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her daughters and their activities, and enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures.

Dr. Kylie Murray

Dr. Murray joined the practice in the fall of 2011. She graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2008 and then completed her pediatric residency at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital.  Her specific interests include newborn medicine, especially breastfeeding problems, and school age children.  Dr. Murray grew up outside of Washington, PA and currently resides in Mount Joy, which reminds her of the farm country she grew up in.  She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, two young children, and two large dogs.  She also enjoys baking with her daughter.

Dr. Steven Heverley

Dr. Heverley joined the practice in the summer of 2013.  He completed both his medical school and pediatric residency training at Penn State Hershey College of Medicine/Children’s Hospital in 2010 and 2013 respectively.  Some of his specific areas of interest within pediatrics include sports medicine, concussion management, and healthcare needs of adolescent boys.  Dr. Heverley is originally from DuBois, PA and now lives in Hummelstown with his wife and two children.   Outside of the office he enjoys running, collecting/watching movies, watching sports (especially football and hockey), and spending time with his family.

Dr. Edgar Kwee

Dr. Kwee joined the practice in the summer of 2018. Prior to becoming a physician, Edgar was a patent attorney who graduated from New York University School of Law, but he later decided to pursue his dream working with children and keeping them healthy. Dr. Kwee graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine in 2015 and he completed his pediatric residency training at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital in 2018. Some of his specific areas of pediatric interests include preventative care, sports medicine and developmental pediatrics. Dr. Kwee is originally from Mechanicsburg, PA and he now resides in Hummelstown. When not at work, Dr. Kwee enjoys music, movies, basketball and taking walks with his wife and two young daughters.

Katrina Sciarrone, PA-C

Katrina is a Physician Assistant that joined the practice in the summer of 2022. She received her training as a PA at Penn State College of Medicine, and graduated in 2020. She spent the first part of her career in family medicine, which really grew her passion in pediatrics, eventually leading her to Tan and Garcia Pediatrics. Katrina is originally from the Poconos, spent some time in Pittsburgh, and now lives in Hummelstown with her dog and her two cats. In her free time, she enjoys taking long walks and hikes with her dog, kayaking, traveling, and training Jiu Jitsu.

Lori Dugan

Lori Dugan is our Office Manager.  She started at Tan and Garcia in 1977 and assumed the role of Office Manager in 1986.  She is the backbone of the office and keeps everything running smoothly.  Due to her extensive experience and interaction with patients, Lori is a favorite with our second and third generation patients.  A native of York County, she enjoys hiking, biking, and various other outdoor activities.
